Chicago Magician & Mentalist for Hire
Chicago audiences expect more than novelty. They have seen the speakers, the open bars, the photo booths, and the same five entertainment formats recycled across every venue from the Loop to River North. Bill Martin performs as The Perceptionist — close-up magic and mentalism designed for guests who pride themselves on noticing the details.
Where I perform in Chicago
Most of my Chicago bookings happen inside hotel ballrooms, private dining rooms, and rooftop venues across the Loop, West Loop, River North, and the Magnificent Mile. I have worked closely with planners at properties along Michigan Avenue and the Riverwalk, and I am familiar with the load-in, sound, and timing constraints those venues bring.
Formats that work for Chicago events
For cocktail hours, I move between small groups with strolling close-up magic — sleight of hand performed inches from your guests' hands. For seated programs and stage time, I shift into mentalism: predictions, telepathy, and influence demonstrations that work whether the room is twenty people or four hundred.
Corporate planners typically pair me with a keynote or product reveal; wedding planners use me to bridge the gap between the ceremony and the seated dinner. Either way, the goal is the same: give your Chicago audience something they have not seen before, performed at a level that respects how sophisticated this market actually is.
How to book
Tell me your venue, date, and what you are trying to make people feel. I will respond with a short proposal that fits the room. See corporate event entertainment or wedding entertainment for format details, or request a date to start a conversation.
